Pastor Frank Amedia and Touch Heaven Ministries participated in the Sunday morning service at La Foi Apsotoloqiue church at the invitation of Senior Pastor, Jean Borella, on Sunday, March 7, 2010. La Foi is located at 11629 NW 7TH AVE, MIAMI, FLORIDA 33168. The congregation consists predominantly of Haitian heritage members. Touch heaven was invited because of its’ prominence in providing physical and spiritual assistance to Haiti. Pastor Frank shared what the ministry is doing in Haiti as well as the future plans. Pastor Borella committed that he and his church want to partner with TH going forward. As a part of this plan, La Foi raised $ 240 to contribute to the 1 million meal plan that TH is partnering with Rachel’s Challenge to sponsor on May 6, 2010. More coming about this…

Dear Pastor Frank Amedia,
I have been humbled by the incredible and generous response of Touch Haiti Now’s appeal for Haiti. Once again it shows how, despite economic difficulties here at home, the Christian people are always willing to think of those worse off than them.
I would like to thank all of the residents of South Florida and all the corporate sector; American Airlines, Fed Ex, Norwegian Caribbean Cruise Line and many others who contributed to your Haiti relief efforts especially the few individuals that donated a significant portion of your Haiti donations who selflessly wish to remain anonymous. Through the enormous outreach and generosity of the community, your office was able to collect containers filled with food, water, clothing, medical supplies and personal care items for the millions of people who have been affected by the massive earthquakes in Haiti.
Having said that, it saddens me to know that some people, will always try to dampen the hope of those that are on the frontline of this emergency (the Touch Haiti Now team), by concocting the truth with their lies. If I were you pastor Frank, I would not give them one more minute of publicity and waste any more of your valuable time.
We remain focused on Plan Haiti and the vision that God has put in your spirit and heart.
As always, please feel free to contact us if we can ever be of assistance with this or any other matter.
Sincerely
Pastor Frank Diaz – Director of Special Projects

Dear Friend in Christ (“lifeisgood”):
We received your email and I am responding as I try to do for every email or
prayer request that we receive. First, I ask that you take a few minutes and
read my RESPONSE TO THE REPORTERS ARTICLE on the Haiti mission website.
Please click onto www.touchhaitinow.org <http://www.touchhaitinow.org/> .
I trust that you will see that
this reporter took my words out of context, obviously for the purpose of
“coloring” her story. You will also see very shortly on this web site,
pictures that are less than 96 hours old of our team feeding, providing
medical care, hugging, ministering to, and loving orphans, adults, and
families in Carrefour and Merage (ground zero area of the earthquake). The
mountain we worked to get to Merage sits on top of one of the largest voodoo
centers in that region. In fact, the Pastor (Mike) that asked us to come
there, is the son of voodoo priests. Do you really think that we would ask
him not to feed his family or his neighbors ? We trucked in 10 tons of food
and water on Monday and our coordinator who stayed in Haiti is working to
get another truck load of supplies to them today or tomorrow. Our clinic
which we opened in Carrefour last week, is attending to hundred of patients
daily from all around the community – not one is asked what their faith is.
I am confused by your opinion that we are “spreading evilness” in the news?
Or that we blamed the disaster on voodoo. Not even this article says that.
Are you confusing us with someone else or something else you read about
someone else ? Be certain, your assumptions are not correct.
Thank you for your prayers – this we covet dearly. But please be led of the
Spirit to make your prayers more effective. We are not judging anyone in
Haiti. We are not lost. We are feeding, providing medical care, and
preaching the gospel. We have been blessed to heal many also with prayer in
the name of Jesus. How do you find fault with this ? We know that we are
commissioned as the light of Christ in a dark region of the world. In Two
weeks we are back in Samburu Kenya, where we have been ministering for
years, again bringing the gospel into the dark part of Africa. If you are
indeed a Christian, then you should be encouraging us and supporting us, not
condemning us. Voodoo is evil, birthed in the spirit of the anti-christ,
which is opposed to Christ. And the fruit of evil, is destruction. Surely
you know this is the Word of God. We cannot and will not support voodoo, but
we have, do, and shall help the needy regards of their faith, always being
ambassadors for Christ and caring about their eternal souls.
