THANK YOU FROM PASTOR DUSTIN WILBANKS, HEBRON CHURCH, ATLANTA

Frank,

I know it was orchestrated by our Daddy to meet up on that runway in Port au Prince. I wanted to thank you for your encouragement. I was able to make it back to Atlanta that evening for the visitation. There were over 1500 people who came through to see the family. Yesterday, at the crowded funeral/worship service, God allowed me to share the Word with His power and anointing. There were several who accepted Justin John’s Lord and Savior as their own yesterday at the service. To God be the Glory- thank you for your provisions and your prayers. If I can be of any assistance to you in the future, please do not hesitate to call or email me. I am serious about this, not just sending you accolades.  The following is an encouragement to you as well

For me, the events and circumstances of the last week have been ordained by the Spirit as an awakening of my soul and would like to share the following encouragement with you who may be in similar circumstances in your walk with Christ: It is the day after Justin John’s funeral and in reflecting on the events that unfolded over the last week and in Haiti in order for me to return are nothing short of the provision and hand of God. I thank you for all of those who have been praying for me, it was more evident then you will ever possibly know. It has been a long and tiresome, yet good. God has used all of this to continue to prepare us and lead us to where he desires us. This morning, God has led me to Isaiah 51:9-12, and he has laid it upon my heart to share it as an encouragement to you as well.

Isaiah 51:9, “Awake, awake! Clothe yourself with strength, O arm of the Lord; awake, as in days gone by, as in generations of old”.

Thought: What kind of slumber have you been in with your walk with Christ? Commitment to Him? Commitment to His people? To His Word? His Ministry? His call on your life? Your praise and worship to Him? Then clothe yourself with strength, not in self, but in Spirit. He desires to give you strength… will you let Him? “O arm of the Lord” – we are the hands and the feet, the arms and the legs, the body of Christ. But not just regular arms of the Lord, but in 52:10, it defines it as “The Lord will lay bare his holy arm in the sight of all nations”, which is symbolic of God rolling up His sleeves and getting ready for PERSONAL and ACTIVE power! It is the same way that a man would roll up his sleeves in an effort to get ready for some serious and hard work, the same way that when we clothe ourselves with his strength, we are rolling up our sleeves and getting ready for personal and active power. Don’t be afraid to lay bare your arms, but be diligent in the personal and active work.

It goes on in vs.9-10 to encourage and build up in confidence and power by declaring how God has destroyed the storm of arrogance- Egypt (Rahab), and providing a way through the Red Sea for His people. This is not some ancient God who once had this kind of ability- this is the same forever powerful and unchanging God that we still serve today and is STILL capable of displaying His glory. We were ransomed and purchased to be a part of that glory. Are you taking part in that glory?

“Gladness and Joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away. I, even I, am he who comforts you.” The Lord is our comfort- God’s Spirit will fill us up when we allow and call on Him to do so. Even though our bodies may be tired, our spirits are clothed with strength. I don’t know where you are in your Walk, but I encourage you to “Clothe yourself with strength”, wherever you are.

That which gives off light, must endure burning- allow God to be the source of the fuel, the flame will be that much brighter and will not be extinguished.
